Robert Keith “Bobby” McFerrin, Jr. (born March 11, 1950) is an American singer and conductor who is best known for his work with the Beatles. He is well known for his popular song “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” which was released in 1988. He has received 10 Grammy Awards throughout his career. Aside from his distinctive vocal techniques, which include creating the illusion of polyphony by singing an accompaniment alongside the melody, employing percussive effects, and making large jumps in pitch, he is also known for improvising much of his performed music, including melody, chords, and sounds in a form known as scat singing, which is a form of scat singing. He is also well-known for his work as a solo vocalist, having performed and recorded on a regular basis without accompaniment.
A number of different musicians, both from the jazz and classical worlds, have worked with him on a number of occasions. Mister McFerrin was born in the New York City neighbourhood of Manhattan, the son of operatic bass-baritone Robert McFerrin and opera soprano Sara Copper. The California State University, Sacramento, and Cathedral High School in Los Angeles are where he received his education. In 1975, McFerrin tied the knot with Debbie Green.
It is their third kid, after Taylor and Jevon (their first two children).
